Locally based People for Animal Welfare (P-A-W) is a voluntary service dedicated to animal welfare, domestic and wild, in the Neath, Port Talbot and Swansea areas. Please note that we have no facilities to kennel and rehome pets, eg. dogs and cats. If you have a dog to rehome then local and nearby centres that might help include the Dogs Trust Bridgend, Llys Nini Animal Rescue Penllergaer (also cats, birds and small mammals), Many Tears Animal Rescue Crosshands, Maesteg Animal Welfare Society (also cats), and Cats Protection (cats only). You might also try the Blue Cross (cats also), and for older dogs try the Oldies Club at www.oldies.org.uk. There are also the breed specific centres such as Greyhound Rescue Wales and the Akita Rescue & Welfare Trust etc. If you find a stray dog then please contact your local authority pound service for collection.
