We used this firm in October 2013 to complete house removals from and to two different properties over 3 days. When they initially quoted us they seemed very professional, personable and willing to help you find solutions. In turns out the solution they are looking for is how to make themselves more money. They demanded full payment before starting the job, which they didn't tell me was required until 24 hours in advance of moving date when it was too late for us to employ anyone else. They turned up late, 3 days running, demanded additional money as the packing took longer than they expected, which is hardly my fault as they provided the quote after a survey. They refused to unload the removal lorry with our goods on until we paid the extra money. They were paid to assemble a wardrobe which they were then unable to assemble, but did we get a refund when we asked, of course not. Two very precious and sentimental items got broken in the move, one of which was a piece of artwork my husband bought me for our wedding. I appreciate that accidents can happen and consoled myself with the fact that we were insured. But guess what, when I asked Mr Smith how we go about claiming he said we were not insured as a signature was missing. We ended up paying over £1,000 for a shoddy service with little care and attention and were bullied into paying extra money to get our goods back. Please do not be duped by this firm. You will regret using them.
