I do not have a choice but to give a star to comment on this bakery. Ordered a buttercream cake for my mum's birthday and collected from local store. Having cut and served the cake, we were all completely disappointed. The cake was incredibly dry and flavourless. All the guests including the children binned it after taking the first bite. We phoned the bakery who told us to bring it in for inspection. They took it to the back of the store and came back with the box after a few minutes to tell us it was dry because the guy that had decorated it had not put syrup. We said that we suspected the cake was not fresh as it tasted stale and he said it was fresh (a lie). He said he would offer a discount for next time (within a few months) completely missing the point. A birthday party had been ruined and another birthday would be the following year. We did not like the cake and did not want another. He refused to apologise or even partially refund. Very disgusted with service! 21-09-14
