Paul is a lovely, personable chap who comes out with all the right words. We engaged him to draw up and submit plans for a house extension in February. After a couple of weeks, we had heard nothing. After calling him, we were told plans would be with us, "in the next day or two." Nothing appeared.
The same process was repeated five times over the next few weeks until he finally returned the paperwork to us with a covering letter apologising that he did not have the time to do the work for us.
This man took the contract and did nothing for two months. This has meant that, by the time we might be able to get approval, we will have no chance of building this year. In all, he has set us back a year.
When asked what complaints procedure was available, his response was, "Well there's only me and you're complaining to me." We can find no evidence that he is a member of any professional or trade associations, so we're stuck.
Our opinion is that his treatment of us has been abysmally unprofessional and we would advise anyone to STEER WELL CLEAR.
