I have always believed that charity shops are open for negotiation and at the end of the day it is better to make a sale than not, I was recently at Faversham Pilgrims hospice shop and found the Manager not only to refuse a sale through negotiating but to have a rather rude and quite obtuse manner, to which I left the shop without making a purchase and will not be going back! I have always used charity shops and this is the first time I have come across this rather unfavourable nature, I didn't mind the fact that the Manager had refused but in the manner it was put across.
