Since we moved into our new build house 14 years ago the style and shape of the living room was such that could not utilise a gas or traditional fire which would require all the correct ventilation fittings. Whilst the advent of electrical fires could have provided an alternative there was the concern of the heat released from the top affecting our television which is positioned on the wall.

As such we have bided our time and were extremely excited when we came across Gel Fireplaces whilst searching for fuel for a small table top fire gift. The biofuel fires were a new concept to us, no fumes, no soot waste, no after cleaning and most importantly completely recycled fuel. This provided the perfect solution to our longing for a real burning flame and authentic heat without the huge expense of electric or gas that these types of utilities would cost to run. The only concern for us was the heat extending to the television. After some research and measuring we decided it was a calculated risk.

So not 6 weeks before Christmas and already feeling the effects of the long winter nights drawing in we took the plunge and purchased the Serenity Flame. We are over the moon to say the least with the quality of the build, simplicity of the style allowing for more ornate dressing with ceramic logs and stones or simply plain viewing. This fire gives out plenty of heat for our living room without the necessity to heat the whole house just for one room. We believe the cost of running the fire will outweigh the cost of running the central heating and needless to say the television equipment is absolutely fine.

A 1 litre bottle of bioethanol fire lasts between 3 to 6 hours. After experimenting we have discovered once the unit is warm and burning we can half close the casing to make the fuel last longer up to 6 hours without compromising the flame.

It truly has been a boost to our winter blues.

We moved into our house a few years ago and really wanted to have a fire, our problem was that whilst we had a fireplace there was no chimney. So having researched gel fireplaces on the internet we visited your shop last week to see one of your gel fireplaces in action. We were not disappointed! The personal service and advice we were given both over the phone initially and then on our visit was excellent, and we ended up buying one there and then. Delivery was arranged free of charge and with the minimum of effort our fire is now installed and looks lovely.
If you have the same issues we had and are considering one of the gel fireplaces we would recommend both them , and this company highly. We just wish we had found them earlier!
