AVOID AT ALL COSTS

We moved in June 2019, before we even moved in there were red flags but as we were so excited to get out first flat together we brushed it off. We were hit with £100 of admin fees (this was not disclosed at all). The viewing was pushed forward at the last minute and when we came to view the flat it was rather dirty (this included empty tenants cans under the sink) but we were assured this would be cleaned thoroughly before we moved in.

We moved in and we were advised she did not have time to get it cleaned and they would knock £15 off our first months rent..

Then fast forward a few months our heating stops working. This took a total of 3/4 months to get repaired. We pretty much went though the whole of winter without any heating in our flat. It was constant chasing up with phone calls and emails to just be ignored or told more lies. They would send an electrician when we needed a plumber and so on. Just total lack of communication and organisational skills.

You are constantly met with pathetic excuses as to why things have not been done or why they have not been in touch but you never get an apology or any sort of empathy from the office staff. Shocking customer service skills.

The week we handed our notice in our hot water and heating just decided to stop working. Well this was another massive ordeal. We called the Monday someone came out the Tuesday and was advised that we need a whole new boiler. I have had to constantly chase up with emails and phone calls. You are not kept in the loop at all. The Wednesday morning I called for an update and was advised the landlord is not willing to pay £3000 for a new boiler and wanted a second quote so we had to wait again. I emailed again and got no reply so I decided to call and was met with more pathetic excuses. These excuses would be things in their personal life as to why we did not have the hot water and to me thats very unprofessional. It seemed as though she wanted you to feel sorry for even phoning to chase up a repair!!

They never sent our checking out/ vacating pack until 2 days before our tenancy was ending. This itself speaks a high volume of how unorganised and lazy they are.

When we left the flat we cleaned it from top to bottom and it was 100 times cleaner than when we first moved in and they had the audacity to threaten to deduct £50 for not defrosting the freezer but we were given a deduction of £15 pounds when the whole flat was not cleaned before moving in. Honestly laughable.

It then took us 6 weeks to get our deposit back as they just didn’t bother responding to safe deposit scotland and we had to wait for the 30 working days to pass before we could get the deposit paid back.

All in all this letting agency is unorganised, lack of basic customer service skills and just down right lazy. Do yourself a favour and avoid. 29-10-20

This the worse letting agent in Edinburgh, just do a google search and you will see the number of people complaining about them. They are also dangerous and not professional and if you complain about anything they will evict you and deliberately post sensitive information about you, like your birthdate, full name etc, on the web - they have done this to me and it was Philip Cannon, a vicious but coward man. 13-05-14
