In 11 years of skiing ski boots and my feet have never been natural partners. However following two operations on my feet last year the undersides of the front of each foot became extremely painful when wearing my boots, so much so that on one occasion I actually had to remove my boots off whilst on the pistes to relieve the pressure and pain.

A visit to Glide n Slide and an appointment with Ally, who with incredible patience during the 2.5 hours I was in the shop managed to come up with a solution to alleviate my problem.

One week later I was skiing in the Alps with no pain whatsoever when wearing my boots. Well done Ally and thank you for your patience and persistance to overcome my foot pain problems.

Had my skis serviced at the same time, no issues there neither.

I took my beloved skis into Glide and slide for a service and very small repair. The full service price was £32 which I thought was expensive but they had a good reputation so left them, as for the very small repair they quoted me £15 which again I thought was high but left them to do the work. When I picked them up the "manager", who was very rude, told me that the price I was quoted for the repair was wrong and wanted to charge me £20 for the repair instead of £15. The repair looked very rough but was assured it was a professional fix, though it looked very shoddy. The girl on the till said to him, there wasn't a button on the till for that amount, he told her to just put it in! Also the service looked rushed and unfinished even though they had my skis for a week! I paid the amount.... I got my skis on piste a week later in Ruka. Finland and within 5 minutes the "repair" just fell off. Glide and Slide maybe able to heat up and fit boots, but as far as proper ski work goes they truly are useless. Please do not take your skis here! I really don't want anyone to get ripped off the way I did! Thank you for reading.
