This roofer is a nice person, but unfortunately the work that was carried out was of a very poor quality. Over 2 years ago I engaged his services to repair a leak in my dormer roof. I was quoted for a completely new roof. I was willing to swallow the full cost of a new roof to fix the leak so that I could put my then 6 month old into his own bedroom, he is now 2.5 years old and still we can not put him in his bedroom, Jim is fully aware of the situation. We now have a second child and this is causing real issues as we are essentially one bedroom short. The leak has got worse and worse and the cost of fixing the walls, re-plaster, re-paint is stacking up. it seems to take Jim 6 – 12 weeks to appear at the house when I call him and I have been for 2 years now, he turns up puts some grey paint on the roof and leaves. The paint is now visible and unsightly around the chimney stack. I have had another roof look at the job and he has questioned if the old roof was even removed as there are soft patches in the roof where water is pooling. If I get another trades person to do the work then the 10 year supposed guarantee is void. So I would very much like the job to be fixed properly. If he manages to fix the issue, I plan to remove this review. But as long as it is up there I would strongly caution anyone from using this trades person.
