Was very disappointed with the amount of Japanese maples they stock considering they specialise in this variety although I did find one dishojo maple I liked that didn't have a pricetag on it, I then spoke to the woman at the counter (owner) who was extremely rude and unhelpful. At some point She said in a very patronising way is this going to be used for bonsai. To which I said yes, she then told me it would be no good for bonsai as this is not grown from Seed. I have been practising bonsai for the last seventeen years so I know what I'm talking about. I then informed the lady that this type of maple cannot reproduced from seed and the only way of propergation is via layering, cuttings, all grafting. And as it was a clean graft I was very happy in purchasing it. I then asked for a price and said well I don't know. And continued with her work. I then spoke to the husband who then after roughly the same conversation decided he didn't want to sell the tree any more. Overall the place was very disappointing stock wise, the prices were a little higher than average and the attitude was absolutely disgusting. I have seen plants in better condition in more well-known garden centres for a lot cheaper so it is fair to say I will not be going to the garden centre again
