I would not recommend this company. We hired them as part of their property management guise. They uncovered brown/white asbestos at our home whilst doing a bathroom renovation. They claimed that they didn't recognise the substance despite the contract builder having 40 years experience (George Wright).
We suspected that it was asbestos and asked them what they thought. After contacting their plumber we were told "It definitely isn't Asbestos. We think it's Vermiculite". However, we didn't trust the plumber nor the builder and contacted a specialist company to come and test the substance. 24 hours later they confirmed it was in fact brown asbestos, very dangerous and we needed to vacate the premises immediately. We had already been exposed for 5 weeks which meant our health had been exposed (we have a 20 month old daughter and a 10 year old son) and our clothes and various other things which amounted to about £3000. Not once did Michelle Bewick or George Wright contact us after the day they found out about the exposure to check either of ourselves or our children were ok, or to see if we needed anything. To add insult to injury they have now issued us with an invoice for £680 for extra work. Unbelievable. Use this company at your peril. She simply does not know about knocking down walls and pulling up floors. If myself and my husband recognised asbestos and they didn't what does it say about them???
Update: Court ruled in our favour and Principle Properties have refused to pay. I think Michelle Oxley Bewick needs a morality check.
