Spin doctors were meant to attend to our washing machine but failed to turn up in the allotted time. 45 min later we get a call to say they are stuck in traffic an hour away and wont be coming today. My partner took half a days annual leave. I then spend 4 hours trying to call the office to find out what happened. message and email left and nothing. Finally speak to someone at the office who is complaining of a migraine. I was sympathetic and told him to reply to my email in his own time when he felt better. He was VERY rude to me and told me he wont be responding to my email and told me not to ring back and use another company! Various excuses about being a van down and having no cover. This is not the way to treat a customer!!!! I also questioned why I was quoted £69 (Just labor) on the phone and yet the website stated £45 + £5 for outside of London.
DO NOT USE THEM UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR TIME WASTED AND TO BE SPOKEN TO RUDELY!!! 06-06-17

I contacted this firm on Sunday 16 March 2014 regarding a faulty LG washing machine/tumble dryer. The 'spin doctor' suggested the fault was likely to the dryer heater element (on the basis of my description of the fault) and he would get a price for the replacement price. When I called in the morning he said the element was about £50 plus VAT and he would prefer to be sure that it was required as he didn't want to buy it and not need it and be left with it in stock. He said he would prefer to visit and be sure the provisional diagnosis was correct and that there would be no additional cost for the re-visit if required. Fair enough, I thought.

He quoted a price of £54 plus VAT for the visit, even if he had to confirm this part was required and return to fit it. He is based in Harlow, Essex and I am in Wanstead, London, E11. This is about 30-45 minutes drive down the M11. Not too far, but certainly not local, even though a return visit was included.

He arrived on Monday within the allotted time arranged and found it was actually a water heater element, NOT the dryer element. He had, WITH HIM AT THE TIME, a compatible replacement part and subsequently fitted it. The cost of the part was only £32 plus VAT. I couldn't believe how cheap this was. I would of paid twice that much and happily!! The whole visit took less than an hour and that included testing the machine.

Total cost was therefore £86 plus VAT. Could it be any cheaper? I doubt it. Could it of been any easier of stress free? No. He didn't even want a cup of tea.

By the way...The cost of an extended warranty for this machine was £275 which was offered to me last year and which I swiftly declined. I am very glad I did.
The moral of this story is this.... Don't buy extended warranties on new domestic appliances. They are simple bits of kit and easy to repair, and cheaply too if you use a decent tradesman.

So..... phone this guy and save yourself a pile of cash and at the same time give a living to a young bloke who's out there trying to make an honest living for himself. 22-03-14
