I recently (September - November 2013) enlisted the help of Lighthouse Claims to deal with an accident that my car was involved in. Given a very optimistic timeline of "at most 2 weeks" to get the claim and damage sorted. Numerous phone calls later, and just over 2 months down the line we had our car returned.

We were not given a like-for-like replacement during the time the claim was handled, but we made it work despite it. Once the car was returned, we were happy with the work carried out (light damage to bumper), but the car was returned with a shot suspension/shocks - we did not purport that the shocks were damaged in the accident, but they were clearly non-functional on the car's return to us and not driveworthy/safe.

Spoke to the claims handler who we were always dealing with only to have his "manager" Dean (an extremely rude, obtrusive, arrogant person) chirp in on the line without first notifying us that he was listening to the conversation in the background. He absolutely ran away with the conversation, speaking down to us all the time, and it all left a very sour taste in the mouth. If the company is "good", then they are clearly hiring the wrong type of "manager" - so my overall opinion is this was very poor customer service and a serious lack of accountability.

Highlighting this for future prospective clients of Lighthouse Claims. I would avoid them as there are plenty of other companies around who provide the same services.
