Probably THE worst company I have EVER had the misfortune to deal with! A £600 mattress I recently purchased just over 2 months ago, developed a seriously deep indentation running down the centre three weeks after purchasing it. I complained to the company but they just didn't want to know. My numerous phone calls were never returned and even after visiting the shop on a number of occasions to complain, I was met with a completely disinterested Manager who gave every excuse under the sun why they couldn't send someone out to inspect the bed - despite the fact I only live less than 1 mile from the store. It was only when I made Elephant Beds aware that I had contacted Trading Standards and Citizens Advice, did they start taking any interest in what I was saying. The mattress has finally just been replaced but it is only due to my determination in not accepting their lack of interest and lack of response. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.

Ordered a bed last Saturday for Delivery the following Friday. Promise to call us Thursday to let us know time etc. No call so I took the initiative and called them, no answer, left a message. Friday comes, son stays in all day - 3pm I tell him to call them - looks like they forgot all about it. Sorted themselves out and delivered it around 5pm. Saturday - emptied sons rooms in preparation to assemble bed. Putting bed together pieces missing called them - stated they would POST the screws to me. When I asked where should my son sleep for 2 nights - answer - On the floor!!! So who needs a bed if that is their view. Anyway drove to the showroom, no real apology just pathetic excuses, refused to re-imburse me for my time/travel costs.

25 years of Excellent Customer Service did not show itself - need another bed for my eldest son - will not be going there.

Bought a Mammoth mattress and a divan base from Elephant Beds in December 2015, very happy with the service. Lovely independent business with a fab range of beds, mattresses and furniture on the shop floor.

I saw the exact same Divan base across the road at Dreams for over £100 more! Very good prices, cheaper than Dreams for the same product would definitely recommend.

Further to an initial bad review which has mysteriously disappeared I unfortunately have found myself in a position where I'm back here to complain once again. The bed frame that I ordered took a month to arrive in-store which I felt was not acceptable. I have subsequently tried to put said bed together and have found that there were no fixings supplied. when I called to complain about this the staff at elephant beds namely John the "manager" hung up on me twice later justifying his actions by saying "it's all about the sales mate". I decided to call back a third time to explain that it was poor practice to hang up on a customer mid sentence when having a civilised conversation and was told "I'm sure you can tell me how to do my job mate" and that he "couldn't be expected to keep everyone happy". I fear this establishment is beyond salvation, with its cowboyesque approach to customer service I think the damage it is capable of inflicting on itself is far greater than any this review could hope to achieve. It goes without saying but AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. There are plenty of lovely legitimate businesses out there don't get tangled in this ones web.
