South Essex College Grays Reviews


I have been to several colleges but this has been by far the best one. The college really values each and every student. They have a student council, help out within the community, participate in charity fundraisers, have student representatives and there is never a shortage of activities to get involved in. The college is clean and welcoming with plenty of resources including a shared library with the University of Essex that cost millions. South Essex College are not shy in introducing new things such as Duke Of Edinburgh Awards, Urban Christmas Carols, Pyjama days, Peter Jones Enterprise Academy and much more. They spend a fortune in bettering their campuses and have a new Thurrock Campus opening up in Grays in September 2014 which should be a big event.
The college has regular equality and diversity meetings and works closely with disability officers, LGBT officers and women's officers along with companies like Stonewall. This is because they value student's wellbeing all year around and not just when OFSTED are about.
With plenty of guest speakers from Paralympians to Kiss FM DJ Charlie Hughes, this college is never losing focus of the importance of learning.
